Ink180 was founded in 2011 by Chris Baker after understanding that his artistic love, tattoos, could be beneficial in giving a much needed second chance to former gang members and those forced into human trafficking. Chris Baker is the Chief Artist and Tattooist, as well as the Ministry Director of Ink180. Ink180 works closely with law enforcement in transforming the signs of a dark past into something beautiful.
Chris Baker – Founder & Ministry Director
Chris founded Ink180 in 2011. After growing up in LA and then working in warehouse management, Chris became aware of the struggles gang tattoos represented even as people tried to make positive and productive changes in their lives. He later learned of the destructive and devastating markings of ownership and violence used in the local, regional, and global human trafficking trade. God inspired Chris to provide a ministry to share Jesus’ message of love through covering up destructive markings with beautiful art free of charge to those suffering.
